Job Opportunity at Winston Fox

We are seeking an exceptional Developer with experience designing and developing data platforms and robust analytical/trading data pipelines for a top-tier Bank, Fund, or Prop Trader. The position is in London for a Global Top 10 Hedge Fund. You will work for and report to the London EMEA Head of Quant Trading as the sole Developer/Data Engineer.

We are looking for candidates with direct experience and skills to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage data platforms and pipelines for front-office consumers
  • Work closely with front office users (traders and quants) with a track record of gathering and analysing requirements, managing expectations, originating solutions, and implementation
  • Experience in data technologies and languages such as kdb, dbt, SQL, Airflow, Pandas, Polars, Snowflake, and Kafka
  • Experience working on modern infrastructure, i.e. K8, Docker, Helm etc
  • Strong academic background in a STEM subject from a great school

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in Python (can consider other languages, i.e. Rust, C++ etc)
