About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled M&E Design Director to join our team at Oliver Sanderson Group PLC. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary design team focused on decarbonisation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control and Compliance: Oversee and ensure quality control and compliance in all design-related activities.
  • Building Information Modelling: Develop and implement Building Information Modelling and digital information management strategies.
  • Design Objectives: Set design objectives aligned with the company's goals.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and manage risks associated with design and engineering through a dedicated committee.
  • Team Management: Promote strong communication and inclusion within the design team and across the division.
  • Innovation and Digital Transformation: Support innovation and digital transformation within the division.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in all design and engineering activities.
  • Budget Management: Manage budgets related to design and engineering functions.
Requirements

We are looking for a strong leader with extensive experience at a senior level managing multi-disciplinary design and engineering teams across various projects. A track record within M&E and you will have exceptional project and change management skills, a thorough knowledge of business assurance and risk management systems, and proven experience in implementing new systems and ways of working. You will be adept at budget management, possess excellent communication skills, and have a solid understanding of digital information management and BIM strategies. You will also have strong business and commercial acumen, ideally with a master's degree in design, M&E Engineering, or a related technical field. We are looking for someone with industry experience in construction, M&E, engineering or contractor firms.
