Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled MEP Project Manager to join our team on a 12-month new-build residential project in Central Manchester. As a MEP Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the M&E installations on site, including undertaking weekly minutes M&E meetings, managing the M&E design process, and ensuring that consultants' drawing and technical comments are closed out efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validation surveys
  • Initial M&E review of the client's tender documentation to write a section for the main contractor's tender submission
  • Initial M&E review of the client's tender documents to highlight any project-specific key issues and potential long lead items that may affect the programme
  • Attend project interviews with the main contractor
  • Manage the M&E installations on site, including undertaking weekly minutes M&E meetings
  • Manage the M&E design process, comment technically on the contractor's proposed installation drawings, and ensure that consultants' drawing and technical comments are closed out efficiently
  • Undertake M&E snagging exercise on site and ensure all issues are closed out
  • Work closely with the project planner to ensure that the M&E programme is sufficiently detailed
  • Attend the weekly client project meetings to manage and answer all M&E client queries
  • Undertake a commissioning management role
  • Write detailed M&E commissioning programmes
  • Manage the commissioning and client training process

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in MEP project management
  • Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
