About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our Acute Medical Unit (AMU) Assessment team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient-centered care, working closely with our nursing team to provide fundamental nursing care tasks under the supervision of a Registered General Nurse.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients, their families, and colleagues, demonstrating a patient-focused approach and excellent communication skills.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you remain up-to-date with best practices and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a hospital environment, preferably in a healthcare support role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • A patient-centered approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and situations.
