About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our neurodiverse pupils to access education and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teaching colleagues in planning, teaching, and assessing learning, including working with pupils on life skills such as communication and expressing emotions.
  • Work closely with pupils to keep them engaged, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential.
  • Support pupils in small group settings or one-to-one to help them achieve their learning goals.

Requirements:

  • Patient, compassionate, and resilient, with a genuine interest in a career focused on the education of people with a wide range of needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to update pupils' plans and create learning materials.
  • A driving license to transport pupils on trips and activities.
