Job Title: Legal Recoveries Executive

Our client, a leading player in the asset finance marketplace, is seeking a skilled Legal Recoveries Executive to join their team in the UK. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maximizing recoveries and minimizing losses on a portfolio of bad debt cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize recoveries through negotiation, payment arrangements, dispute resolution, and litigation cases
  • Liaise with lessees, external parties, and customers to resolve disputes and negotiate settlements
  • Conduct financial reviews to determine appropriate action, including payment arrangements and legal proceedings
  • Support customers in financial difficulty or vulnerable situations to ensure fair treatment and best outcomes
  • Work with the Customer Relations Department to resolve agreement disputes
  • Manage claims through solicitors, including issuing claims, handling defended cases, and preparing witness statements
  • Support the insolvency portfolio to achieve the best possible outcome through novations, asset sales, and settlements

Requirements:

  • Experience in collections and recoveries
  • Knowledge of contracts and consumer credit
  • Knowledge of court processes, including small claims and fast track
  • Experience issuing recoveries claims and managing through the court process
  • Banking, leasing, or finance industry experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
  • Self-motivated, process-focused, and results-driven individual
  • Experience in a busy and challenging corporate environment
