About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled HV Design Manager to join our team at Sustainable Talent. As a key member of our Transmission and Distribution sector, you will be responsible for leading design functions and managing projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead design functions and manage projects to ensure successful delivery
  2. Develop and implement process-driven approaches to drive programme forward
  3. Collaborate with industry experts to leverage transferable skills and expertise
  4. Manage change and lead design teams to achieve project goals
  5. Stay up-to-date with National Grid procedures, including TP106, TP131, TP135, TP137, TP141, TP153, TP163, TP182, TP184, TP188, TP189, TP191, TP211, TP215, and TP241

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Transmission and Distribution experience, particularly in substation design and extension of existing substations
  • Strong process-driven approach and ability to push programme forward
  • Regulated industry experience, with a focus on transferable skills
  • Commitment to project success and willingness to see things through
  • Ability to manage change and lead design function
