About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Support Worker to join our dynamic Outpatients team at Poole Hospital. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care within both clinical and surgical settings.

As a key member of the healthcare team, you will work closely with registered nurses and other professionals to ensure patients receive the highest standard of support throughout their journey. Your responsibilities will encompass assisting with various tasks, promoting patient well-being, and contributing to a positive and efficient outpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and dignified care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assist registered nurses with clinical procedures, such as taking vital signs, preparing treatment areas, and providing post-procedure care.
  • Support patients with their daily needs, including mobility assistance, personal hygiene, and mealtime support.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure clear understanding and coordination of care.

About You

We are looking for an individual who possesses excellent communication skills, a genuine desire to help others, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
