We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at The Amwell Care Home. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of care professionals to deliver exceptional care to our residents.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for coordinating shifts, leading by example, and ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained at all times. You will work closely with our care team to create a warm and supportive environment for our residents, and will be responsible for the performance of your team during each shift.

We offer a competitive salary of £12.44 per hour, plus benefits including pension, 5.6 weeks annual leave, and DBS clearance. If you are a motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for delivering exceptional care, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the care team to ensure the smooth running of the home
  • Assist residents with daily living tasks, such as dressing, bathing, and toileting
  • Oversee the ordering, administration, and documentation of medication
  • Engage with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure clear and compassionate communication
  • Foster a team ethos and promote a supportive environment for all staff
Requirements:
  • SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
  • Practical Medication Administration with competencies
  • Leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Compassionate nature and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
