About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Cardiology Clinical Fellow to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will play a central role in the provision of cardiac services and work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care as part of our multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
  • Participate in audit and quality improvement activities to ensure the highest standards of patient care
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver educational programs for medical staff and students
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects and studies
Requirements
  • Primary medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent)
  • Full GMC registration with Licence to Practice or IELTS Certificate with an overall score of or Occupational English Test (medicine version) with a minimum score of 'B' in each domain
  • MRCP or MRCPCH
  • At least 1 year's experience in paediatrics and 6 months in neonates
  • Experience of teaching and presenting
  • Understanding of principles of clinical governance
  • Experience of audit activities
  • Ability to demonstrate appropriate career progression through previous posts
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience as a paediatric cardiology SHO or registrar
  • Clinical experience in paediatric cardiology, including echocardiography
  • Published research in peer-reviewed journals
