Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Tanglewood Care Homes as a Care Assistant. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including washing, toileting, dressing, and undressing.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as eating, drinking, and mobility.
  • Monitor residents' well-being and report any concerns to senior care staff.
  • Participate in social activities and engage with residents to promote their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Answer nurse call systems and respond to residents' needs promptly.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of residents' rooms and equipment.
  • Assist with serving food and drinks, and wash up as required.
  • Escort residents on social outings and hospital visits.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in care or a related field is desirable.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
