About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Director to lead our Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacokinetics team at Amphista Therapeutics Ltd. As a key member of our R&D leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the discovery and development of novel protein degrader-based medicines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and contribute to the development of our protein degrader drug discovery and development programs.
  • Manage a team of external consultants and potentially lead a team of scientists to deliver project goals and candidate molecules for development.
  • Work closely with project teams, medicinal chemistry, biology, pharmacology, and development leaders to advance projects and achieve milestones.
  • Develop and implement new strategies and ways of working to advance specific projects or systems.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on scientific issues, opportunities, and developmental plans and achievements.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of leading medicinal chemistry and pharmacokinetics teams in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong expertise in protein degradation and medicinal chemistry.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Ability to work across functions to optimize processes and activities to deliver therapeutic projects and other scientific activities to milestones.
