Key Responsibilities:- Represent the Wellbeing department to all partners and stakeholders.
- Manage a cross-campus team responsible for providing wellbeing and welfare services that enhance the student experience.
- Provide high-quality support to students, addressing their wellbeing concerns and signposting them to external resources as needed.
- Ensure students have an exceptional experience at VCAD through quality support, prioritizing their wellbeing and safeguarding.
- Collaborate with the Student Support Manager and Academic teams to ensure efficient and effective wellbeing support.
- Develop and deliver cross-campus wellbeing workshops, webinars, and awareness-raising events.
- Establish and maintain clear policies and procedures for risk assessment, support, and referral to external bodies.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with colleagues across the university to support service delivery and issue resolution.
- Liaise with external bodies to improve support for students in need.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Psychology or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in the FE/HE sector, with a focus on student wellbeing and support.
- Sensitivity and empathy when working with students, colleagues, and staff.
- Strong team management and communication skills.
- Experience in producing and managing timetables in an educational context.
- Excellent problem-solving and IT skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality.
- Experience in risk assessments and crisis management.
