About the Role

Bruin is seeking a highly skilled Revenue Controls Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our revenue reporting and control processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Monitoring and Control: Monitor and control global Profit & Loss and Revenue reports, including the review of trade flow issues, their revenue impact, and manual or automatic revenue accounting entries.
  • Revenue Control Oversight: Oversee the mapping of Sub-ledger to Ledger, while monitoring Revenue Control Accounts, balance sheet accounts, and monthly positions, fails, and pending transactions.
  • Collaboration and Liaison: Collaborate closely with various teams within Finance, liaising with Trading desks, Operations, Middle Office, and IT Teams to ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting.
  • Monthly Profit & Loss Calls: Participate in monthly Profit & Loss calls, review variance analyses on fees prepared by other members of the team, and manage the end-to-end Revenue Control process, including reviewing Transfer Pricing models and accounting treatment.
  • SOX Certification and Audits: Review SOX Certification documents, assist external auditors with statutory audits, and provide ad hoc global revenue reports to senior management and other departments as needed.
  • System and Product Migration: Contribute to system and product migration projects, using effective escalation to highlight issues and focus on recurring problems, and drive enhancement projects and system fixes.
Requirements
  • Accounting Qualification: An Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Financial Services Experience: Experience in an accounting role within Financial Services, or auditing Financial Services within a practice firm.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Experience of managing or supervising junior members of the team, good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with colleagues across the business at all levels.
  • Controls-Focused Mentality: A controls-focused mentality, capable of identifying vulnerabilities and weaknesses, and excellent accounting, analytical and reporting skills.
  • Product Control Knowledge: Product Control knowledge would be an advantage in this role.
