About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Community Practitioner to join our team at West London NHS Trust. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex emotional needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective clinical strategies to support individuals with complex emotional needs.
  • Work closely with the band 7 Senior Practitioner and the Team Manager to ensure the efficient running of the clinical team.
  • Contribute to the development of interfaces with multiple services and stakeholders.
  • Provide a consultative role in working with clients with CEN and support with interventions and signposting.
Requirements
  • Core Mental Health Profession registered with an appropriate professional body.
  • Clinical/postgraduate management qualification or equivalent level of experience and proven ability to perform at this level.
  • Postgraduate qualification that includes supervised and assessed psychotherapeutic training OR Formal training in DBT (to intensive/upgrade level) or MBT (basic and certificate training).
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrable experience of working with adults with mental health problems in a variety of community settings.
  • Experience and skills in risk assessment and management.
  • Experience of working with diverse communities.
  • Measurable track record in involving and motivating staff to improve performance.
