About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at Branston Potatoes. As a key member of our HR function, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and development through effective talent management and succession planning.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Central HR Management: Oversee the implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Provide strategic support to the business, including employee relations, recruitment, and internal and external compliance.
  2. Team Management: Manage and support the Central HR Coordinator and HR Assistant, providing guidance and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
  3. Succession Planning: Develop and manage a robust succession planning framework to identify, develop, and retain top talent within the organization.
  4. Talent Management: Support employees in achieving their full potential through effective personal development plans and talent management processes.
  5. Future Talent Development: Manage programs for MDS, sandwich placement students, and work experience, ensuring a pipeline of skilled and motivated employees.
  6. Performance Management: Develop and manage group performance management processes, including job chats and annual reviews, to drive business performance and growth.
  7. Training and Development: Ensure appropriate training and development plans are in place across the organization, enhancing employee skills and knowledge.
  8. Skills Gap Analysis: Work with managers to identify skills gaps and requirements, developing strategies to address these gaps and enhance business performance.
  9. Ad Hoc Projects: Provide support for various projects and team needs as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements

  1. Generalist HR Knowledge: Proven experience in generalist HR, with a strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  2. CIPD Qualification: Hold a CIPD qualification (Level 5) or equivalent, demonstrating a high level of HR knowledge and expertise.
  3. Proven Experience in Learning & Development: Proven experience in learning and development, with a track record of delivering effective training and development programs.
  4. Proven Experience in Implementing a Learning & Development Culture and Strategy: Proven experience in implementing a learning and development culture and strategy, driving business growth and development.
  5. Experience Supporting People in Apprenticeship and Graduate Roles: Experience supporting people in apprenticeship and graduate roles, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of these employees.
  6. First-Class Communication and Organisational Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, managers, and stakeholders.
  7. Line Management Experience of a Small Team: Experience managing a small team, with a track record of developing and supporting team members.
