Assistant Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our Mental Health team at HMP Stocken, a Category C male prison near Oakham. This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients and delivering outstanding care.
About the RoleAs our new Assistant Psychologist, you will work closely with the onsite Psychologist, offering vital support to your patients. You will be responsible for providing psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of the qualified psychologist, working with people with complex needs, and contributing to the Challenge, Support and Intervention Plan (CSIP).
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of the qualified psychologist
- Work with people with complex needs, which can present challenging situations or behaviors
- Contribute to the Challenge, Support and Intervention Plan (CSIP)
- Monitor and provide feedback on patients' function and general mental health condition during the course of intervention
- Carry out clinically related admin tasks, including audits, statistics, and research projects
