Assistant Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our Mental Health team at HMP Stocken, a Category C male prison near Oakham.
This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients and delivering outstanding care. You will be working closely with the onsite Psychologist, offering vital support to your patients.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an ever-changing, challenging environment, which is hugely rewarding.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the mental health team and the wider healthcare team onsite
- Support the psychological care of patients throughout their journey, from reception to release planning
- Provide psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of the qualified psychologist
- Work with people with complex needs, which can present challenging situations or behaviors
- Contribute to the Assessment Care in Custody Teamwork (ACCT) process and the Challenge, Support and Intervention Plan (CSIP)
- Monitor and provide feedback on patients' function and general mental health condition during the course of intervention, reporting and changes to the mental health team
- Carry out clinically related admin tasks, including audits, statistics, and research projects
