We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Study Skills Specialist to join our team at Randstad. As a Study Skills Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students with specific learning difficulties, helping them to develop the skills and strategies needed to succeed in their academic pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to the needs of each student
- Provide one-to-one support and guidance to students, helping them to build on their strengths and learning strategies
- Assist students in creating strategies for organization and time management, as well as action plans to stay on track with their studies
- Support students in developing their research skills, including identifying and using a variety of sources, and distinguishing between appropriate and inappropriate sources
- Help students to build their comprehension skills in reading and writing
- Membership with one of the following professional bodies: British Dyslexia Association (BDA), Professional Membership The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE), Dyslexia Guild, or The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths while maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
