Job Overview

The Neonatal Unit at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a Level 3 neonatal service, providing care for sick newborn babies in the Northeast of England and North Yorkshire. This unit is approved for higher specialist training in neonatology and offers opportunities for research and academic development.

Main Duties

As a Neonatal Paediatrics Specialist, you will have a designated clinical and educational supervisor, and will be responsible for the assessment and management of all aspects of neonatal care. You will have opportunities to attend regional study days, individual study leave, and research meetings, and will be part of a team that provides simulation training and education.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a GMC licence to practice, and will have experience in neonatal care. MRCPCH or equivalent is desirable. The candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to work effectively as part of a team.
