Job Summary:

As a Perishable Operations Team Leader at DHL Germany, you will be responsible for managing, coaching, and driving performance to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and a high level of customer service within a specialized team.

About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and coordinating the movement of perishable products via air, road, sea, or courier – export and import.
  • Ensuring adherence to Customs Compliance procedures and documentation.
  • Completing retrospective Custom compliance actions.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
  • Liaising directly with Transport and Warehouse teams on shipment planning and coordination.
  • Supporting the measurement of Key Performance Indicators and ensuring Job Files are fully and accurately completed.
  • Updating internal complaints tools with all required inputs.
  • Engaging and growing team members through the implementation of Active Leadership.
  • Completing all statutory and mandatory training.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Five or more years' experience within the Freight Forwarding Industry, preferably with knowledge in perishable related movements.
  • Good written and spoken English skills.
  • Excellent telephone and email skills.
  • Good ability to learn new computer systems.
  • 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C or above – or equivalent.
