ABOUT YOU

As an Electrical Safety Evaluation Engineer, you will conduct comprehensive assessments of electrical safety for a diverse range of clients. Collaborating with the Electrical team, you will engage closely with clients to analyze their products and documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant testing standards. This role also requires cross-departmental collaboration, providing essential technical support to various teams including operations, sales, and marketing.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:
  • Formal qualifications or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Proficient IT skills, with experience in Excel, Word, and data management systems
  • Experience adhering to a Quality Management System
  • Strong attention to detail and capability to interpret complex standards
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with clients and team members
Desirable:
  • Experience in product safety testing, grid code compliance, inverters, EV charging, BESS, or energy sectors
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards such as IEC/EN 50549, UL 1741 SA, IEEE 1547, 60335, 62368, or 60730
  • Knowledge of certification processes
  • Experience in generating test reports for clients and certification needs
  • Proficiency with data acquisition tools, AC/DC simulators, RLC load banks, and communication interfaces
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide ongoing technical support and guidance on testing procedures and standards
  • Prepare project and product quotations
  • Research emerging standards, technologies, and trends
  • Assist with accreditation activities, including audits and corrective actions
  • Manage tasks in alignment with company guidelines
  • Evaluate technical documentation against standard requirements
  • Set up and operate Equipment Under Test (EUT); perform basic repairs as necessary
  • Conduct product testing in accordance with established standards
  • Complete preliminary design reviews both on-site and remotely
  • Develop and adhere to established testing protocols
  • Provide updates on project status to clients and management
  • Support technical audits for internal and external purposes
  • Ensure evaluations are conducted to standard and within designated timelines
  • Participate in client meetings and discussions
