Maintenance Engineer - Condiments Manufacturing

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at McCormick & Company. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our condiments manufacturing facility.

Main Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
    • Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent future problems.
  • Process Optimization
    • Collaborate with production teams to optimize manufacturing processes, improving efficiency and reducing waste.
    • Develop and implement process improvements, leveraging data-driven insights to drive business results.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    • Work closely with quality teams to identify and address quality issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Project Management
    • Manage small to medium-sized projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
    • Assist with major projects, providing technical expertise and support as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to drive business growth and improvement.
    • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, sharing expertise and knowledge with colleagues.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience
    • Working experience in the food or consumer products industry, with a strong track record of acquiring engineering skills and continuous learning.
  • Skills
    • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
