Maintenance Engineer

Compensation: Up to £51,000 per annum, plus comprehensive benefits package
Location: Peterborough area
Strive Supply Chain LLP is a leading global logistics company, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Peterborough site. The successful candidate will work on a 4-on, 4-off basis (1800hrs – 0600hrs) to ensure the smooth operation of our facility.
The Role of Maintenance Engineer:
- Identify and resolve equipment breakdowns, minimizing downtime and improving overall plant reliability.
- Collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and evaluations on electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, wiring, and electrical components, in accordance with industry standards and codes.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on refrigeration systems, building infrastructure, and material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Complete work orders and log all performed work in our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) on a daily basis.
- Operate cutting torches and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts as required.
- Supervise contractors working on or near refrigeration systems, ensuring they adhere to all relevant safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer Position:
- Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering with Mechanical Engineering experience (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Apprenticeship training or relevant certifications are highly desirable.
