Nuffield Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our team as a Specialist SACT Nurse in Oncology and Haematology. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and administering systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care
  • Use clinical skills and an empathetic approach to meet the individual needs of each patient
  • Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
  • Deliver high-quality holistic care to patients
  • Administer systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments
  • Assist with Holistic Needs Assessments
  • Complete UKONS triage and assessments
  • Provide care for acute oncological and haematological emergencies
  • Interact with practitioners from other departments
  • Educate patients in the management of their care
  • Assist with outpatient consultant clinics

Requirements:

  • NMC registered and a qualified nurse
  • UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 6 months SACT administration experience
  • Proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation, and accessing Central Venous Access Devices
  • Competent in UKONS triage

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Qualification in SACT
  • Advanced communication training
