About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist SACT Nurse to join our team at Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital. As a Specialist SACT Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality holistic care to our patients with haematological and oncological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and be an ambassador for Nuffield Health, demonstrating exceptional clinical skills and an empathetic approach to meet each individual patient's needs.
  • Administer systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments, ensuring excellent patient care and autonomy to make decisions.
  • Deliver high-quality holistic care to our patients, including phlebotomy, cannulation, and accessing Central Venous Access Devices.
  • Assist with Holistic Needs Assessments, UKONS triage, and assessments, providing care for acute oncological and haematological emergencies.
  • Interact with practitioners from other departments, educating patients in the management of their care and assisting with outpatient consultant clinics.

Requirements

  • NMC registered and a qualified nurse with a UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 6 months SACT administration experience, with proficiency in phlebotomy, cannulation, and accessing Central Venous Access Devices.
  • Competent in UKONS triage and able to work within a small team of skilled SACT nurses.
