Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate SACT Nurse to join our team in the Haematology & Oncology Day Unit. As a SACT Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with haematological cancers and solid tumours.

About the Role

As a SACT Nurse, you will be responsible for administering systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments, as well as providing holistic care to patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments
  • Provide holistic care to patients, including phlebotomy, cannulation, and accessing Central Venous Access Devices
  • Assist with Holistic Needs Assessments and UKONS triage
  • Provide care for acute oncological and haematological emergencies
  • Interact with practitioners from other departments
  • Educate patients in the management of their care

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a qualified nurse with a UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent) and a minimum of 6 months SACT administration experience. You should also be proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation, and accessing Central Venous Access Devices, as well as competent in UKONS triage.
