Position: Educator at a Specialist Institution

A reputable specialist institution is in search of a qualified or unqualified educator to join their team. This role is suitable for both novice teachers embarking on their careers and seasoned educators seeking a rewarding new opportunity.

The institution focuses on supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs as well as Autism Spectrum Conditions. They are committed to delivering exceptional educational experiences and customized Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provisions to assist every child in achieving their fullest potential, irrespective of previous challenges. The students present a diverse range of needs, including ASC, ADHD, early trauma, Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), and Down syndrome.

The ideal candidate will possess resilience, patience, and the ability to establish strong connections with students facing challenges. Teaching responsibilities will encompass various subjects, including Physical Education, History, Geography, and Vocational Skills.

Five Education provides professional development opportunities, including training in Makaton and Team Teach, along with dedicated consultancy support throughout your employment journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with fellow educators to ensure effective lesson planning and resource allocation
  • Delivering lessons that align with Ofsted standards for excellence
  • Assessing and grading students in accordance with institutional policies
  • Modifying teaching approaches to cater to diverse learning needs
  • Implementing behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with parents regarding student development
Essential Qualifications:
  • Two years of recent references, including experience with children or vulnerable individuals
  • PGCE qualification with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
  • Valid DBS/Police checks
  • Availability to work five days a week

The compensation rate is £20 per hour, with a daily earning potential of £120, inclusive of holiday pay. Additional earning opportunities may be available.

Compensation:

Five Education operates a transparent PAYE payroll system, ensuring no hidden fees. Please note that the compensation rate includes holiday pay.
