Job Description

**Job Title:** Experienced Teaching Assistant

**Job Type:** Full-time, 5 days a week

**Location:** Frome, Somerset

**About the Role:**

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a well-resourced special school in Frome. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Autism, Complex Needs, and SEMH.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support children with a range of special educational needs, including learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), sensory, speech and language impairments, and behavioural difficulties.
  • Adapt lesson activities to meet the individual needs of pupils.
  • Create and maintain a stimulating learning environment that promotes achievement and well-being.

**Requirements:**

  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEN/Autism/Complex Needs/SEMH.
  • Right to work in the UK (valid visa).
  • At least one recent child-based reference and relevant DBS/Police checks.
