Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional to join our team, capable of working independently and making critical decisions to address health requirements. This advanced practice role integrates elements of education, research, and management, while remaining focused on direct patient care and engagement with families and communities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Specialist Nurse in Pediatric Neurology, your primary responsibility will be to enhance the neurology services provided at our healthcare facilities. This position will require collaboration across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of safe and effective care, supported by the latest evidence-based practices.

The Specialist Nurse will offer support and guidance to children, adolescents, and their families dealing with neurological events such as seizures. You will also serve as the expert nurse for pediatric epilepsy, implementing established guidelines and participating in relevant audits.

Core Duties

Clinical Practice

  • Receive and respond to referrals from the healthcare team, providing expert advice and support.

  • NMC Registered Children's Nurse.

  • Understanding of SEND legislation and practice.
