Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, we're looking for a skilled Tool Maker to join our team. As a Tool Maker, you'll play a critical role in the manufacturing process, working with metalworking dies and tool making to create high-quality tools and fixtures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manufacture new tools and repair/renovate old tools to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
  • Plan jobs through various stages of manufacture, deciding on the correct machinery and processes to achieve the stated accuracy and quality.
  • Operate machines and carry out activities in a safe and responsible manner, maintaining a clean and tidy environment within the department.
  • Achieve tasks within set timeframes to meet departmental targets.
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as requested by the Tooling Manager or Engineering Manager.
  • Ensure all tooling-related activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Good general education with numeracy and perception essential.
  • Ability to work to very fine tolerances and read engineering drawings.
  • Initiative in problem-solving and providing solutions to tool manufacturing problems.
  • High degree of concentration required to operate machinery and tools safely.
