Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, we're looking for a skilled Tool Maker to join our team. As a Tool Maker, you'll play a critical role in the manufacturing process, working with metalworking dies and tool making to create high-quality tools and fixtures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manufacture new tools and repair/renovate old tools to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
  • Work with engineering drawings to plan and execute tool making functions.
  • Operate machines and tools safely and efficiently, maintaining a clean and tidy work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Tooling Manager and Engineering Manager to achieve departmental targets and ensure compliance with company procedures and health and safety regulations.
  • Develop problem-solving skills to address unusual materials, machine settings, and fabrication methods.
Requirements
  • Good general education with numeracy and perception essential.
  • Ability to work to very fine tolerances and read engineering drawings.
  • Initiative in problem-solving and providing solutions to tool manufacturing problems.
  • High degree of concentration required to operate machinery and tools safely.
