Key Responsibilities of the Pricing Analyst
- Conduct thorough data analysis and interpretation utilizing Excel and Tableau.
- Make strategic pricing decisions informed by comprehensive analysis of both internal and external data across various pricing zones.
- Evaluate the results of pricing strategies by assessing performance metrics from extensive datasets.
- Perform competitor analysis to inform pricing adjustments.
- Meet quarterly objectives related to margin and inventory turnover.
- Oversee task delegation within the team.
- Keep abreast of industry-wide and international data trends pertinent to the business.
- Compile performance reports and present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather insights on data content and business needs.
- Enhance and refine internal processes.
Skills & Attributes of the Pricing Analyst
- Previous experience in a pricing or revenue-focused role, or in business analytics.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and data-driven approach.
- Proficient in Excel with a high level of numeracy and statistical analysis skills.
- Solid understanding of supply and demand principles.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft BI.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and time management abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of dynamic pricing strategies.
- Experience in leadership or training roles.
- In-depth industry knowledge, including familiarity with equipment, competitors, and market trends.
- A Bachelor's degree in economics, business, accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience in an ecommerce or marketplace setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
