About the Role

We are seeking a Community Support Worker to join our Adult Disability Service in Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Domiciliary Service. As a Community Support Worker, you will provide support and care to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate in their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living tasks, medication management, and household chores.
  • Support individuals to participate in activities and engage with their communities, promoting social inclusion and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including healthcare staff, social workers, and family members, to ensure comprehensive support and care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with service users, their families, and carers, promoting trust and confidence.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring that the needs and preferences of service users are met.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a care or support setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures, including manual handling and first aid.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
