They are in search of a skilled and seasoned Lead Structural Engineer to oversee the Analysis team, ensuring the delivery of effective structural engineering solutions tailored for the Automotive industry.

Position: Lead Structural Engineer - Analysis

Compensation: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum + benefits

Location: Midlands Engineering Centre

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the Analysis team in creating CAE models for structural components across automotive, rail, aerospace, and defense industries.
  • Facilitate brainstorming and problem-solving sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering Designers to establish load paths and enhance structural designs.
  • Act as a representative for the department with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify business opportunities and prepare cost estimates.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to analysts.
  • Oversee project planning and resource allocation.
  • Maintain documentation and uphold quality standards.
  • Support and mentor team members to foster their development.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • At least 5 years of experience in simulation.
  • Experience with sheet metal or composite materials.
  • Proficient in NASTRAN and/or LS-Dyna software.
  • Ability to manage teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exemplary emotional intelligence and professionalism.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with ANSA & Meta software.
  • Programming skills in relevant software.
  • Experience in the design and manufacturing of composites.
