About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our team at the Recruitment Bunker. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of Body-in-White (BIW) structures and composites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Lead the full design and development of BIW structures and composites, including CAD administration, BOM, DVP, Family Tree, and Release activity.
  • Team Leadership: Guide engineers in idea generation and problem resolution through day-to-day working and structured Design Reviews.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Engineering Analysis team (FEA) to meet design targets and drive cost-effective solutions.
  • Manufacturing: Collaborate with Manufacturing to agree feasible manufacturing solutions and control the engineering change process.
  • Communication: Communicate design solutions to internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Project Management: Support Programme team to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
Requirements
  • Education: Engineering degree or equivalent within a relevant subject.
  • Experience: Experience and knowledge within BIW structures and composites.
  • CAD Skills: Strong ability to use CAD and understand CAE literacy using Catia V5.
  • Design Knowledge: High level of engineering design knowledge, including GD&T.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently within your role.
