Lead Engineer - BIW Structures

We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to join our team at DRVN Automotive Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of BIW structures, working closely with our engineering analysis team to meet design targets and drive cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full design and development of CAD, administration activity; BOM (Bill of Materials), DVP (Design Verification Plan), Family Tree and Release activity in-line with the company's NPI process and customer specific process.
  • Work closely with the Engineering Analysis team (FEA) to meet design targets and drive the most cost-effective solutions.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing to agree feasible manufacturing solutions and to control the engineering change process.
  • Communicate with the Head of Engineering to ensure you have the required level of support and help when required.
  • Support Programme team to ensure project deliverables are achieved.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent within a relevant subject.
  • Strong ability to use CAD and understand CAE Literacy using Catia V5.
  • High level of Engineering design knowledge.
  • Understanding importance of managing engineering change requests and claim management.
  • Understanding of budget management.
  • Excels in organisational skills and time management.
