Overview

The Camp Manager plays a pivotal role in the successful execution of our diverse holiday childcare programs, ensuring the utmost safety and well-being of all children under care. We seek passionate and skilled individuals dedicated to our mission of 'Inspiring Children Every Day'.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide a team of staff to deliver high-quality care and engaging activities.
  • Motivate your team by demonstrating enthusiasm and energy in all camp activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational policies and safety regulations, fostering a secure environment for both staff and children.
  • Conduct staff training sessions prior to the commencement of camp.
  • Collaborate with the Early Years Leader to meet regulatory requirements and liaise with inspectors during evaluations.
  • Maintain open communication with Head Office regarding daily operations and any arising issues.
  • Serve as the primary contact for parents, addressing concerns and providing updates.
  • Coordinate with the Host School to ensure seamless camp operations.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including attendance records, staff schedules, and activity planning.
  • Facilitate collaboration with teams running specialized programs to ensure cohesive camp experiences.
  • Address any challenges that arise in the dynamic holiday camp setting.
  • Promote the welfare of children, ensuring that care meets the diverse needs of all participants.
  • Embody the values of Ultimate Activity Camps, demonstrating professionalism and enthusiasm.

Essential Qualifications

  • Possess or be working towards a qualification in childcare, education, or coaching, with substantial experience in child engagement.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in management, preferably in childcare or educational settings.
  • Strong communication abilities, particularly in face-to-face interactions with parents and school staff.
  • Familiarity with camp activities and readiness to step in as needed.
  • Ability to make informed decisions swiftly and effectively.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a commitment to delivering a rewarding experience.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Certification in Paediatric First Aid.
