Shift Hours: 22:00-06:00, Sunday to Thursday

As a Night Transport Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the transport function and foster effective communication, leadership, motivation, training, and development to maintain operational efficiency and meet daily objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
As part of your role, you will:
  • Manage drivers to ensure timely execution of duties in alignment with KPIs.
  • Maintain quality standards in accordance with OTIF measures.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislative and corporate transport requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for any supervisory staff inquiries.
  • Track assets to guarantee vehicles and trailers are available for scheduled servicing and maintenance.
  • Oversee the dispatch and cage return plan.
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with Warehouse teams to ensure accurate and timely loading of all shipments.
  • Communicate, implement, and enforce company policies.
  • Compile necessary reports for the business.
  • Direct daily activities to ensure a safe, secure, clean, and equitable work environment for team members.
  • Work closely with customer service to enhance customer satisfaction in line with business targets.
  • Be accountable for employee satisfaction by applying effective leadership and engagement practices.
  • Conduct Return to Work interviews and manage disciplinary investigations as needed.
  • Support the implementation of The Unipart Way.

About You
We would appreciate candidates possessing the following skills and experience, but we encourage you to apply if you believe you can excel in this position:
  • Experience as a Transport First Line Manager.
  • Background in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Ability to plan, manage your workload, and communicate effectively with others.
  • Knowledge of transport legislation, Working Time Directive, and Drivers' hours.
  • Experience in employee relations and handling HR cases.
  • Proficiency in managing accidents/incidents and overseeing reporting and investigations.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn in-house systems.
