Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Social Care team at Wokingham Borough Council. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with individuals and their carers to promote well-being, independence, and protection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver reablement training to care providers to maximize independence.
  • Work with key stakeholders to complete robust assessments and set SMART goals.
  • Consider and maximize the use of assistive technology, including Telecare, to enhance independence.
  • Carry out specialist functional assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Professional degree-level Occupational Therapy qualification or equivalent.
  • Full EU driving license and access to a daily-use vehicle.
  • Experience in a Social Care or healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing risk in a Social Care or healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrable experience in undertaking assessments of complex needs.
