Commercial Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our Circet UK team. As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for leading, assisting, and developing the commercial team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement commercial reporting systems and procedures to maximize commercial benefits of all responsible contracts.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to mitigate risks and optimize pricing of variations.
  • Collaborate with project delivery teams to manage work packages and project change control.
  • Manage costs of direct labor, material, plant, and subcontractors.
  • Estimate change and variations using various methods.
  • Forecast costs and measure costs of completed work packages.
  • Assist with the implementation of commercial strategies and develop a strategy for supplier engagement.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified or similar.
  • Proven ability to run complex bids and multiple bids.
  • Understanding of pricing, cost, and profit.
  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial construction law.
  • Experience working with NEC, JCT, ICE, or bespoke contracts.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, ability to problem solve and make decisions.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
