Circet IRE & UK is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a fixed-term basis for 12 months. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in implementing commercial reporting systems and procedures to maximize commercial benefits of our contracts.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Commercial Manager in developing and implementing commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Manage commercial functions of various work packages, including design, test and commission, materials, telecoms, electrification, power, and plant.
- Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure effective project change control and management.
- Liaise with Project/Contracts Managers to collate information on projects and ensure accurate cost management.
- Prepare internal and external commercial reports to provide insights into project performance and cost management.
- Establish and maintain interfaces with key stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
- Manage costs of direct labor, materials, plant, and subcontractors to ensure efficient cost control.
- Estimate change/variations using various methods and forecast costs to ensure accurate project budgeting.
- Assist with the implementation of commercial strategies and provide recommendations to improve business performance.
- Hold meetings with clients and senior management to ensure cost projections align with project programs.
- Assist Tender and Bid teams with bills of quantities and budgets to ensure accurate project costing.
- Fully understand and implement the company safety policy and procedures.
- Ensure that programs for contracts are successfully delivered in a safe, quality, and on-time manner.
- Drive compliance to any regulatory measures that may apply to the works and operations that Circet undertake.
- Ensure that all contracts achieve turnover and profitability by maximizing efficiency and minimizing cost of failure.
- Degree qualified or similar.
- Proven ability to run complex bids and multiple bids.
- Understanding of pricing, cost, and profit.
- Basic understanding of contract language.
- NEC3 experience.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, an ability to problem solve and make decisions.
