Salary: £55,398 plus benefits
Type: Permanent, Full Time (Monday - Friday)
Hours: 35 hours per week + participation in out of hours rota

Estuary Housing Association is actively seeking a Residential Safety Compliance Manager who will oversee all facets of safety management across our high-rise residential properties and additional facilities within our portfolio.

In this pivotal role, you will ensure adherence to all directives and statutory notices issued by the Building Safety Regulator. You will serve as the primary contact for residents regarding safety concerns and provide essential information about their role in maintaining building safety.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to align with current legislation and best practices, collaborating with the Assistant Director of Property Compliance for effective implementation and regular evaluations.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with residents, colleagues, external partners, and contractors to prioritize and coordinate building safety initiatives.
  • Engage with enforcement authorities and other stakeholders to ensure the safety of buildings for occupancy and provide necessary information to all relevant parties.
  • Act as the organization's authority on emerging legislation related to building safety, ensuring that appropriate systems, services, and documentation are in place to meet compliance obligations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Significant experience in a fire safety capacity.
  • Proven experience in conducting fire risk assessments.
  • Membership in professional bodies such as IFE, IFSM, RICS, or CIOB.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Ability to navigate ladders, scaffolding, and confined spaces as required by the role.
