Schroders Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Compensation Accounting Specialist to join our team in ensuring the integrity of payroll data is maintained within our internal systems through our monthly reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Validate and Reconcile Payroll Data: Ensure accurate recording of payroll transactions in the general ledger, including salaries, wages, bonuses, benefits, and deductions.
  2. Monitor and Reconcile Payroll-Related Accounts: Verify the accuracy and completeness of payroll-related accounts and ensure accurate recording of payroll transactions.
  3. Reconcile Payroll Tax Calculations: Verify the accuracy of payroll tax calculations, including Income Tax, National Insurance contributions, and pension contributions, against the payroll system.
  4. Investigate and Resolve Discrepancies: Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in payroll data, including incorrect pay or benefits allocations.
  5. Streamline Processes: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and minimize manual intervention.
  6. Maintain Confidentiality: Handle sensitive payroll information with confidentiality and data privacy.

Requirements:

  1. Finance or Reconciliations Experience: Proven experience working in a Finance or reconciliations function.
  2. Strong Excel Knowledge: Strong Excel skills are a requirement for this role.

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Oracle Fusion / SDWorx Experience: Experience working with Oracle Fusion / SDWorx is highly desirable.
  2. Financial Services Experience: Experience working in the Financial Services industry is highly desirable.
  3. Data Analysis Skills: Ability to work with large datasets and analyze complex financial data.
