Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Psychology graduate or student to join our team at EdEx. As a Psychology Placement Opportunity, you will have the chance to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in an Outstanding Primary school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to class teachers within the classroom
  • Assist children with SEND/SEMH needs 1:1 and in small groups
  • Work closely with 2 children who are non-verbal
  • Support pupils in and out of lessons
  • Monitor and record interventions

Requirements:

  • A hardworking graduate/student with strong academics and a passion for learning
  • Previous experience with children and SEN/SEMH needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working with Non-Verbal children
  • Previous experience working 1:1
  • Someone resilient and able to overcome challenges
