Psychology Placement Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Psychology graduate to join our dedicated team at an Outstanding Primary school in Waltham Forest. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain valuable experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide support to class teachers within the classroom
  2. Assist children with SEN/SEMH needs 1:1 and in small groups
  3. Work closely with 2 children who are non-verbal
  4. Support pupils in and out of lessons
  5. Monitor and record interventions
Requirements:
  1. Strong academics and a passion for working with children
  2. Previous experience with children and SEN/SEMH needs
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  4. Experience working with non-verbal children
  5. Previous experience working 1:1
  6. Someone resilient and able to overcome challenges
