About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Day Technician to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our Data Centre Solutions team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and Procedures: Support contract mobilisation, including implementation of CBRE's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) and risk management processes and procedures.
  • Technical Support: Investigate and rectify technical faults, participate in site scenario and best drill training, and ensure systems are updated accordingly.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Ensure routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
  • Permit to Work Systems: Ensure site operates in adherence to the agreed Permit to Work Systems.
  • Statutory Compliance: Support the Account Manager to ensure all Statutory Compliance and record keeping for CBRE's Quality Management System.
  • Method Statements and Risk Assessments: Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
  • Subcontractor Management: Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, and site operating procedures.
  • Emergency Response: Provide emergency response - Respond to work interruptions, outages or emergencies consistent within the SLA.
Innovation and Operational Excellence
  • Innovation: Provide input for the development of client improvement solutions, further develop operating standards, processes, and procedures, and actively identify/implement innovation across the Contract to enhance performance and grow the team's knowledge.
  • Operational Excellence: Continually communicate high priority tasks issues to end users, client and CBRE Management team, assist and enhance service delivery through best practice and the effective use of site systems and equipment.
People and Building Relationships
  • People: Responsibility for own training requirements and development program including competency assessments, critical services training and scenario exercises, culture carrier and promotes best practice.
  • Building Relationships: Understand, anticipate and deliver customer (internal and external) needs while building effective relationships whilst optimizing contract performance, positively respond to both our internal and external customers (often in a matrix environment) through effective communication and personal accessibility/credibility.
Requirements
  • Education: Hold academic passes with at least GCSE Maths and English or equivalent, higher educational qualifications to 'A' level (or equivalent).
  • Skills: Computer literate, IT Skills to achieve key tasks and give the business a sound reporting base, superior written and verbal communication skills with strong oral presentation skills, organised and open to new ways of working to challenge inefficiencies, team working and experience in customer facing situations, good communicator with computer literacy, experience in a running permit to work system and being accountable for works on site, flexible working with the ability to manage own workloads, self-motivated and the ability to deliver under pressure.
  • Experience: Previous experience of a service industry role, been a part of a high-performing team, management skills to maximise the performance of staff working directly for them and others.
