Job Summary:

PRS is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Data Centre Maintenance Engineer to join our Critical Data Centre Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the maintenance of environmental conditions and 100% uptime of all mechanical and electrical systems.
  2. Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive, and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems.
  3. Carry out daily emergency callout tasks and monitor the data centre environments for changes in condition.
  4. Identify the cause of issues and provide reports to the team and customers.
  5. Assist in ensuring 100% uptime of customer data centres.
  6. Support contractor/engineer activities, such as isolations, connections, and work permits.
  7. Maintain systems and assets in a data-driven environment, using new digital tools and platforms.
  8. Complete logbooks and RAMS, and attend client meetings.
  9. Demonstrate knowledge of AHU, FCU, UPS, Generators, and LV systems, including fault finding.

Requirements:

  1. Trade-trained with 3 years' experience in building services.
  2. City & Guilds Mechanical or Plumbing discipline competency, Parts 1 & 2, or equivalent apprenticeship.
  3. Willing to be Authorised as Mechanical AP on site.
  4. Experience in a critical site (Data Centre or Banking Sites).
