We're seeking a highly skilled External Communications Manager to join our team at Simplyhealth. As a key member of our Communications team, you'll play a vital role in shaping and delivering our external communications strategy, driving growth, and building our reputation and impact.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a multi-channel external communications strategy that meets business needs and stakeholder ambitions.
- Manage a press agency and work collaboratively with the wider Marketing team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, including Executive Leadership, our Clinical Team, and charitable partners.
- Lead public affairs work for Denplan with our public affairs agency, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Line manage the Communications Executive, providing professional development, coaching, and support.
- Drive thought leadership and social media capabilities, developing and executing campaigns that showcase our expertise and build our reputation.
We're looking for a talented and experienced communications professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, working at pace and multi-tasking with ease. You'll need to have excellent communication skills, particularly in writing and storytelling, as well as a strong understanding of media relations and crisis communications.
Key skills and experience include:
- Experience of shaping and delivering a multi-channel communications strategy.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and storytelling.
- Strong understanding of media relations and crisis communications.
- Experience of leading press campaigns and creating thought leadership content.
- Robust knowledge of public relations, social media, and stakeholder management.
