Preschool Operations Manager

We are excited to announce an opening for a Nursery Manager at Pumpkin Recruitment Ltd. We are looking for an individual who is dedicated to nurturing children's development and possesses prior leadership or management experience in a childcare setting.
Key Qualifications:
- NVQ, BTEC Level 3, or BA in Early Years Education from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience in leading and inspiring teams.
- Familiarity with safeguarding protocols and health & safety regulations.
- Demonstrated involvement in Ofsted inspections.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred).
- Paediatric First Aid certification (preferred).
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a related role.
Responsibilities of the Nursery Manager:
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of the nursery staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Manage financial budgets, occupancy rates, and key performance indicators.
- Assist in the hiring process of nursery personnel, overseeing their inductions, supervisions, and performance reviews.
- Lead the team in planning EYFS activities and engaging in reflective practices.
- Ensure the maintenance of children's observation, assessment, and development records.
- Oversee marketing initiatives, including open days and promotional events.
- Take the lead on safeguarding and health & safety, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Promote diversity and equal opportunities within the nursery.
- Foster strong, trusting relationships with parents and families.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Set a positive example by working flexibly and upholding high standards of care and education.
